P90X2, IS IT WORTH IT – A 3 STEP APPROACH TO STARTING AND COMPLETING X2
PART 1 OF 2 | P90X2 – IS IT WORTH IT?
STEP 1 – GET PIYO
Congratulation – you’ve finally decided to get serious about your fitness, health, and over all well being by stepping your game up…in other words, you’ve decided to try out X2…and if not, that’s okay too, but you might want to still read this post for tips that well no doubt improve your current fitness level.
So, first things first…where do you start? How do you prepare yourself to get in the best shape of your life (in othe words, how do you improve your current fitness level just so you can embark on a journey that will improve your already improved fitness level…makes sense…right?).
Well, you start by getting PiYo!
You’d think I’d start by telling you to get some sort of less but still “extreme” program…or at least something requiring weights…but think again my friend!
I have done two full rounds of PiYo and I see nothing but continued improvement in strength, speed, flexability, and recovery. I know I’ve already reviewed the PiYo program, but after revisiting P90X2 after a second round of PiYo I have done nothing but achieve higher and higher numbers…not to mention an increased level of intensity during each and every X2 workout…and, as I’ve stated a number of times, intensity is the name of the game when it comes to weight loss and results!
I don’t know what else to say other than PiYo continues to impress while doing wonders for my fitness….all this with nothing but a Yoga Mat!
STEP 2 – GET P90X3
After getting PiYo, the next step in preparing for X2 is to get your hands on P90X3 and get ready to step your game up!
If you’ve got weights and/or resistance bands and a pull-up bar (which are a must if you’re really wanting to either lose weight or get serious about your fitness) you’re ready to change your life…sounds dramatic right…that’s because it is!
Simply put, X3 is, as I stated in my review, a better gateway to X2 than the original P90X…and it’s just 30 minutes a day! So, get the program, set aside just 30 minutes a day, and change your life.
STEP 3 – DO A PIYO/X3 HYBRID
Now that you’ve done the easy steps, getting your hands on PiYo and X3, here comes the fun part – DO THE PROGRAMS!
THERE’S REALLY NO OTHER WAY TO PUT IT – X3 & PIYO MAKE YOU X2 READY!!!
I have personally experienced the awesomeness that is an X3/PiYo hybrid…and though I like my visual results, I must say they are nothing compared to my physical results. I am currenlty doing X2 again after completing my X3/PiYo hybrid and…
…it is as if I am doing P90X2 for the first time!
For the first time I am hanging with Tony and the gang and pulling off moves I COULD NEVER DO BEFORE DOING PIYO. Not even on my 4th round of X2 could I do what I am doing now and I whole heartedly believe I owe all to X3 and PiYo.
“OKAY, I GET IT, YOU LIKE PIYO AND X3…SO WHY NOT JUST DO THOSE?”
I have already reviewd X3 and PiYo and I have already expressed how impressed I was with both programs…so, why write yet another post pretty much praising the two programs?
Well, because I am now truly realizing how they have elevated my fitness game to a new level…and that level is making X2, a program I have done 4 times, brand new to me. Brand new in the sense that I am getting more out of X2 than ever before simply because I have reached a new level of fitness…and nothing well test your level of fitness like X2!
BUT, because P90X2 is one of the toughest programs out there you may feel discouraged…and if you are one of us that do get discouraged when failing at an exercise, or get easily frustrated with new and/or strange moves, then fret not!
I truly believe anyone that completes a PiYo/P90X3 hybrid will not only be in better shape than when they started, but they’ll be in optimum shape to tackle P90X2 and get in the best shape of their life!
So, what are you waiting for – get X3 and PiYo and start optimizing yourself for total optimization…with X2.
