LOSING WEIGHT AND KEEPING IT OFF – 3 THINGS EVERYONE SHOULD KNOW
So you want to lose weight…but you can’t stand the thought of eating like a rabbit or tasteless food for the rest of your life…I mean who the hell would right?
Well my friends, the truth is you don’t have to! But before we continue, lets discuss the mindset that seems to be infecting us all.
I don’t know how many times a month I hear one of two things from people either trying to lose weight or lose those few extra pounds hanging around their lower abs.
“Yeah, I’d love to lose weight, but I don’t want to eat rabbit food the rest of my life”
“Yeah, I’d love to lose weight, but I can’t spend the rest of my life eating tasteless food.”
FIRST OF ALL...IT’S NOT ABOUT THE RABBIT FOOD! IT’S ABOUT THE RABBIT!
SECOND OF ALL…LOSING WEIGHT AND KEEPING IT OFF IS NOT ABOUT EATING TASTELESS “HEALTHY” FOOD FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE!
THIRD OF ALL…YOU CAN HAVE YOUR CAKE AND EAT IT TOO!
IT’S NOT ABOUT THE RABBIT FOOD ! IT’S ABOUT THE RABBIT!
First thing’s first, it’s not about the rabbit food – it’s about the rabbit! So, don’t “Ninja kick the damn rabbit!”…Ninja kick the damn rabbit food.
Think about it for a second, the reason you want to lose weight is not because of the food, the reason you want to work out is because of you.
SO STOP FOCUSING ON THE FOOD AND FOCUS ON YOU!
IT’S NOT ABOUT TASTELESS “HEALTHY” FOOD FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE!
I don’t know how many people believe that to lose weight and keep it off they’ll need to spend the rest of their lives on a diet – THIS SIMPLY ISN’T TRUE!
IT’S BEEN PROVEN THAT LOSING WEIGHT AND KEEPING IT OFF IS ABOUT EATING RIGHT 80% OF THE TIME!
Losing weight and keeping it off is all about eating “right” 80% of the time…so what about the other 20? The other 20% IS ALL YOU! You want a cookie…or two…or three? You want that burger and fries…and shake? Well, if you ate “right” the past 80% of the time then go ahead and eat that thang the other 20% of the time.
“But 20% doesn’t seem like that much.”
Excuse me! 20% is a perfect amount! 20% means that for every 5 days of eating “right/clean/etc.” you get 1 free day of eating anything!
Seems too good to be true right? Well, IT’S NOT! The only catch is that you’ll have to commit to the 80%. You’ll have to have the will power to stay strong until you reach your free for all.
“But 20% doesn’t seem like that much.”
Yeah, I heard you the first time…and I still think your nuts! 20% means that for every 30 days (i.e., every month) you’ll have 6 days of eating whatever the hell you want!
“6 days? That’s like almost a week!”
Yeah, I know!
YOU CAN HAVE YOUR CAKE AND EAT IT TOO!
So, now you know about the 80/20% rule of thumb to weight loss…but if you still think “20% doesn’t seem like that much” then I got something for you too – you can have your cake and eat it too!
“Say what now?” Yes, you can have your cake and eat it to…BUT YOU CAN’T HAVE YOUR WHOLE CAKE!
I’ll say it again, yes, it’s true you can have your cake and eat it too…as long as you don’t eat the whole thing.
If you are currently at a steady weight (i.e., you are not gaining or losing any weight) then as long as you start eating half your cake you should start to lose weight.
We’ve all heard of the ½ technique, but just in case, here it is – halve your meals. If you’re at a restaurant ordering a portion size you normally eat, ask the waiter to bring you a to-go box as soon as the food shows up and put half of the order in the to go box for your next meal…NOTE IT’S FOR YOUR NEXT MEAL, NOT YOUR NEXT SNACK!
So, if you’re currently at a steady weight (not losing or gaining weight) and you simply half all your caloric intake (or just two main meals), i.e., half your soda intake, half your breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinners you won’t only lose weight BUT YOU WILL START TRAINING YOUR STOMACH & BODY TO WANT LESS –
YES, IN OTHER WORDS, YOU’LL START TO “SHRINK” YOUR STOMACH!
ONE | YOU ARE THE RABBIT!
TWO | EAT “RIGHT/DIET” 80% OF THE TIME!
THREE | HAVE YOUR CAKE AND EAT IT TOO…JUST EAT HALF!
